reflection

As the majority of my letters were collected from furniture, I decided it would be fitting to use my alphabet for the cover of a furniture magazine.For the illustration, I drew the same chair I had gotten the T shape from, and would've depicted more of the objects I used for my alphabet if I had had more time. I especially would've liked to incorporate the candle holder I used for the "I" because I thought it was the most interestingly shaped object I collected.

This project was a little out of my comfort zone, but in the end I really enjoyed thinking about letterforms and graphic design principles.I decided on a flat, block-coloured illustration to match the text. Admittedly, this outcome was a little rushed due to my absence at the beginning of this project and given more time, I would've made more intentional, meaningful design choices. Still, for the time I had, I am happy with how I managed to begin taking my ideas further.
